What an exciting day to serve high quality Gyokuro (Jade Dew Green Tea) to more than 100 people who are just so curious about green tea.
Gyokuro and Matcha are the highest quality of Japanese green tea. Both of them are raised shaded. Tea leaf shaded is less bitter and more Umami taste. We use lower temperature to further bring up the sweetness of the Gyokuro tea. (For Matcha, check out the video that I posted here.)
Gyokuro
Tea Leaf: 6g
Water temperature: 140 F (Very low, hugh? )
Water: 100 ml
Brewing Time: 2 min
I love Gyokuro because it’s creamy, and I am so excited that many people agreed with me.
For the second and third brewing, instead of two minutes, I brew one minute. I decided to do that because when i tested it at first, it became bitter starting second brew.
I love drinking tea with someone, event at the tea tasting. I always drink a cup when I serve tea. It’s once in a life time moment over tea, always. If you want to read more about that, please click here.
